CHENGDU, China – Sep. 3, 2026 – StarWin, an AI-driven compound solution provider spanning Communication across GEO, MEO and LEO orbits, Navigation, Remote Sensing and Computing and Measurement, said its parabolic antenna passed a round of LEO IoT and SATCOM solutions for oil & gas field validation carried out by a satellite-connectivity partner working with energy-sector operators. The tests ran first on SES’s Skala LEO solution, then a second time on the Hispasat 30W satellite and StarWin’s other LEO systems, using the same hardware for both rounds.
The trials centered on the always-on video feed oil and gas sites use to monitor infrastructure and natural-resource assets in locations with no cellular or terrestrial network. On the SES Skala round, the partner reported effective, continuous and reliable connectivity, sufficient to support AI-based video image processing for analysis that needs to stay precise and responsive rather than delayed or degraded. The Hispasat 30W and LEO round repeated the result, with the partner reporting steady connectivity paired with advanced data processing even in what it described as the most isolated of the sites tested. Neither the energy-sector operators nor the connectivity partner that ran the trials has been named publicly, consistent with the confidential nature of field validation work of this kind.
“Holding a steady link on SES’s Skala solution and again on Hispasat 30W in the same test cycle is the multi-orbit validation oil and gas operators ask for before they commit hardware to a remote site,” said James Li, Board Chairman of StarWin. “A site that loses its terrestrial network for good still needs that video feed to keep working.”
The antenna is one product in StarWin’s broader compound solution, which also spans Navigation, Remote Sensing and Computing and Measurement. StarWin covers both narrowband satellite IoT and broadband ESA, flat-panel and VSAT terminals from a single vendor, and its ESA and parabolic antenna portfolio has previously been qualified by more than fifteen satellite operators, including SES and Hispasat.
Diverse Applications
StarWin’s terminal line reaches beyond this validation round into the sectors it targets directly and the adjacent verticals it already serves. In oil and gas and mining, ESA and parabolic terminals support the remote-site video monitoring and infrastructure inspection validated here. In logistics and transportation, flat-panel COTM terminals such as the FL30P-M and vehicle-mounted satellite IoT units track fleets and cargo where cellular coverage ends. In maritime and fisheries, the V9-OTM45 terminal and satellite marine buoys provide vessel connectivity and position tracking. In emergency response and disaster relief, the satcom robot dog, a satellite terminal and 5G base station mounted on a quadruped platform, restores communications in terrain fixed infrastructure cannot reach, while the Hybrid Monitoring and Warning SAR Radar System runs continuous automated deformation monitoring for dams and bridges. In broadcasting, StarWin’s COTP and COTM terminals have carried live transmission for national media coverage of crewed spaceflight recovery. In defence, CRPA anti-jamming antennas built into terminals through StarWin, keep navigation and communication links trustworthy under electromagnetic interference. In agriculture, forestry and power-grid monitoring, satellite IoT terminals such as the TQZD-08 and TZ043 deliver low-power narrowband connectivity for sensor networks in the field.
About StarWin
StarWin is a Chengdu-headquartered provider of AI-driven compound solutions spanning Communication, Navigation, Remote Sensing and Computing and Measurement, delivering LEO IoT and SATCOM solutions for oil & gas, logistics, automotive and defence customers as integrated shipping products rather than separately sourced parts. The company’s ESA and parabolic antenna terminals have been qualified by more than fifteen satellite operators, including SES and Hispasat, and StarWin serves as the official global distributor for the TianQi LEO satellite IoT constellation.
